Private gym sauna games space and soundproofed drum room

LOCATION	COMPLETED	USE	SERVICES
Belsize Park London	February 2021	Leisure suite and music room	No kitchen WC shower or toilet

Client Brief

The client wanted a private multifunctional leisure space for exercise, relaxation, snooker and music. A built-in sauna was central to the brief, while his drums needed their own separate room because of the noise they generate.

Challenge

The contrasting uses had to coexist inside one building. In particular, drum practice needed additional acoustic separation from the gym and relaxation areas and from the surroundings.

Pecasa Solution

Pecasa divided the building into a main leisure area and a dedicated drum room. The drum room received an extra layer of soundproofing, creating greater separation for music practice. The remaining space accommodates gym and chill-out use, a snooker table and a built-in sauna.
